== Summary ==

The Great Library at [[Althavan]] was established by [[Emperor Han II]] in 819 FYA as a repository where "all the world's knowledge would be available to all people." Much of the original collection was transcribed from scrolls rescued from the fall of [[yn-av-Agova]]. The Order of [[Librarians]] was founded here in 855. That collection continued to grow under kings and emperors until the [[Cataclysm]] when the collection had to be moved to what would eventually be the [[Great Library of Iona]].
