Great Library at Althavan

Summary

The Great Library at Althavan was established by Emperor Han II in 819 FYA as a repository where "all the world's knowledge would be available to all people." Much of the original collection was transcribed from scrolls rescued from the fall of yn-av-Agova. The Order of Librarians was founded here in 855. That collection continued to grow under kings and emperors until the Cataclysm when the collection had to be moved to what would eventually be the Great Library of Iona.
