House Rule:Goals

Summary

Goals are a mechanism by which the Dungeon Master can assign your character extra motives beyond their own through Reputation Blocs. At character creation time, your DM may assign you a reputation bloc or ask you to choose one or more. You will then choose one or more groups within that bloc to be affiliated with. The groups you choose will help determine your character's backstory and also direct the decisions you make while playing through goals.

Tasks completed for your reputation group add reputation with both that group and the bloc that group is a part of at a 10:1 rate (rounded down.) Likewise, if you perform a task for the reputation bloc as a whole, your reputation with all groups within that bloc increases at a 10:1 rate.
