Cap

Summary

The Cap is the northernmost landmass on Tierra, an island of approximately 400,000 square miles in area. It's largely a temperate region with a small, but growing arctic and subarctic region around the North Pole. This arctic region is the only known source of permafrost. The region also contains almost half of the world's known sources of manatite.

Politically, much of the Cap is a loose conglomeration of city-states and nomadic tribes. There is one large, relatively cosmopolitan nation directly north of Iona named Alskirk.

Religion

Religion is an extremely important aspect of daily life on the Cap. The major religions all revolve around Li Stardancer and Jieh, but in the specifics have huge differences. The polar region is largely warred over by tribes who follow Jieh-To against those led by the Thornsdottir.
