Pollen

Summary

Pollen is the street name for a drug that only effects elves on whom it acts as a powerful opiate. Elves who snort the drug report a sluggish, blissed out feeling, often coinciding with visual and auditory hallucinations and possibly even religious experiences.

The drug was discovered by Kaza Orok slavers as a way to keep their elven slaves docile and biddable. It's extracted from a plant that's only native to their island. As well as using it on their own slaves, they sell it to humans in Tavoli Halasz who distribute it on Hagiv.

In addition to snorting pollen, some elves burn it - by sprinkling it over a fire and inhaling it deeply. Elves who burn pollen will eventually fall into a blind rage, seeking to kill everyone and everything around them.
