Sunstone Ascendants are mortals who have gained godlike powers by gaining possession of a fragment of the Sunstone, a block of near-pure [[essential] destroyed at the end of the Second Sunstone War. Reported effects of holding a Sunstone shard are overall improved stats and health, slowed aging, and with big enough chunks, the ability to empower clerics and paladins to cast divine spells.
