Summary

  • Through the Fire and Back* is a (mostly) true journal written by by Aevon Gazis and published in 390 DB. It starts eleven years after he completed his Grand Survey of the Thalassan Sphere and can be seen as a coda to that work as he decides to travel overland south through the Ring of Fire and determine the "full shape of "Bitu-en-Sul."

It's the most substantial and authentic record of what lies past the ring of fire publicly available. When Aevon came to discover that Bitu-en-Sul does not extend below the Ring of Fire like he'd hoped, he buys a ride on a fire giant's strange, stone ship and visits several large islands before return home.
