Summary

Aevon Gazis is an immortal sidhe bard. He was born in yn-av-Agova in 50 DB. When the sidhe returned to the Summerlands, his mother left him behind with the man he believed to be his human father. He's written thousands of first- and second-hand accounts about life in the Thalassan Sphere and beyond.

He was already over two thousand years old when he learned his true nature. He helps found av-Eles and has always called himself an elf. His explanation in A Soldier of the Winter-Summer War was, "An elf is really only a human with some amount of sidhe blood. If you could take a less exceptional elf than myself and drain out the drops of his blood that were not of elf origin, he would be no more a sidhe than he would be a Nuktari Warhorse. I am the same sort of creature this exsanguinated elf would be... which is to say, an elf."

Books Attributed to Aevon

There are thousands of books attributed to Aevon, about a third of which he actually wrote. Many are obvious, shoddy forgeries. A few are very interesting, well-written forgeries. Some are shoddy originals. Some of the best-known of both are:

Legends Attributed to Aevon

  • Treasure seekers the world over talk about "looking for Aevon's cave - which is alleged to be the greatest cache of treasure the world has ever seen. He's supposed to have been keeping all the good treasure he found in his wanderings, including gruesome pre-Cataclysm and off-world weapons. In truth, Aevon keeps caches all over the Thalassan Sphere including some insanely dangerous ones he heavily booby-traps to keep them from falling into the wrong hands.
