The Thalassan Sphere

The Thalassan Sphere is most of the northern hemisphere in Tom Frost's fictional world Tierra, created for the telling of stories and playing of games. Tierra started out as a setting for Dungeons & Dragons and, over the last thirty-odd years, has grown into a vast, sprawling, sometimes richly-detailed fantasy world inspired by the works of Neil Gaiman, China Mieville, George R. R. Martin, Roger Zelazny, Steve Jackson, Joss Whedon, Jim Butcher, Kim Stanley Robinson, and hundreds of other brilliant, creative people.

I started building Tierra when I was fourteen and its first "wiki" was a spiral-bound notebook, then two spiral bound notebooks, then a Trapper Keeper, piles of photocopies and graph paper, more notebooks, more binders. As an adult, when I pulled it all together, it was 2,000 pages of nearly all handwritten notes along with a slew of computer files.

This wiki is Thalassa 2.0... or 26.0 or something in between, depending on your numbering system.
