Summary
Aevon Gazis is an immortal sidhe bard. He was born in yn-av-Agova in 50 DB in yn-av-Agova. When the sidhe returned to the Summerlands, his mother left him behind with the man he believed to be his human father. He's written thousands of first- and second-hand accounts about life in the Thalassan Sphere and beyond.
He was already over two thousand years old when he learned his true nature. He helps found av-Eles and has always called himself an elf. His explanation in A Soldier of the Winter-Summer War was, "An elf is really only a human with some amount of sidhe blood. If you could take a less exceptional elf than myself and drain out the drops of his blood that were not of elf origin, he would be no more a sidhe than he would be a Nuktari Warhorse. I am the same sort of creature this exsanguinated elf would be... which is to say, an elf."
Books Attributed to Aevon
There are thousands of books attributed to Aevon, about a third of which he actually wrote. Many are obvious, shoddy forgeries. A few are very interesting, well-written forgeries. Some are shoddy originals. Some of the best-known of both are:
Originals
- When the Stars Came to Tierra published 422 FYA
- A Soldier of the Winter-Summer War published 2733 FYA
Notable Deuteroaevoni Writings
- The Prince and the People published 1356 FYA - almost certainly written by Prince Evhan of Carhita as apologia for his own brutal reign
