Summary

The Rim is a long chain of islands running most of the way from the Ring of Fire to the Cap. Most were mountain peaks before the Cataclysm.

Political groups of the Rim

* The northernmost islands of the Rim are called Kaza Orok or Orchome.
* South of Kaza Orok is a single, small island called Mannisport, controlled and administered by the Dragonfires.
* Below that are a chain of smaller islands frequently called the Anarchic because so many attempts to civilize them have failed. Many pirate towns dot these islands.
* South of that are the Icarii, once outposts of the Thalassan Empire, now independent nations.
* South of that are the Minas Gerais, islands held by Iona and mined for coal, manatite and other precious minerals.  
* Depending on who you ask, the Cenwulf Protectorates are either the southernmost part of the Rim or they are just south of it.
